Physical Characters and specifications
Pyrilutamide, also known as KX-826, is a self-developed AR antagonist for the treatment of androgenetic alopecia (AGA) in adult males
Androgenic alopecia (AGA) is the most common form of hair loss with progressive hair follicle miniaturization. Both men and women can suffer from it, but with different patterns and prevalence of hair loss. The prevalence of males in my country is about 21.3%, and the prevalence of females is about 6.0%.
AGA is a genetically predisposed polygenic recessive disorder. Domestic epidemiological surveys show that 53.3%-63.9% of AGA patients have a family history, and the paternal line is significantly higher than the maternal line. Current studies have shown that androgens play a decisive role in the pathogenesis of AGA; others include inflammation around the hair follicle, a large life, stress and anxiety, and poor living and eating habits, which can aggravate the symptoms of AGA.
Current treatments for AGA include systemic medication, topical medication, hair transplantation, mesotherapy, and low-level laser therapy. Among them, the main drug treatment is minoxidil (Rogaine) and finasteride (Finasteride).
According to the prospectus of Kintor Pharmaceuticals, the above two AGA therapeutic drugs currently have certain limitations and cannot meet the existing clinical needs.
For example, minoxidil is administered locally, lacks specific targeted therapy and limits the coverage and response of patients with androgenetic alopecia. Patients using minoxidil may be allergic to propylene glycol and may have orthostatic hypotension if concomitantly taking peripheral vasodilators.
Finasteride is an oral 5α-reductase type II inhibitor that inhibits the conversion of testosterone to DHT in certain tissues. Such inhibitors can cause abnormal development of male fetuses external genitalia if used in pregnant women, so it is forbidden to be used in women of childbearing age. In addition, finasteride has sexual side effects, including decreased libido, erectile dysfunction, and ejaculation disorders.
Freetan tincture is used topically and can be applied directly to the target treatment area of the scalp with a low level of systemic drug exposure. Therefore, the drug does not affect androgen levels in the body and eliminates the side effects of impotence.
Treatment of hair loss and acne.
