Deoxycholic acid is a kind of free bile acid present in bile. It has strong surface activity, can destroy and dissolve cell membranes, and reduce the dissolution of subcutaneous fat in a small area. In clinical trials, deoxycholic acid can effectively eliminate submental fat and improve overall appearance compared to placebo.
